Danny Amendola restructures

By Christopher Frangolini

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has restructured his contract for the second straight year, according to a Fox Sports report.

The deal is for two years worth $7.35m with $750,000 more in roster bonuses and catch incentives, according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports.

Amendola originally signed a five year $28.5m contract in March 2013. In March 2015, he restructured again (three year $12.75m).

“It’s an honor to play for this franchise and with this group of guys,” Amendola said. “We have one goal- to win another Championship and that’s all we care about.”

Amendola is coming off his best regular season in New England. He caught 65 balls for 648 yards and three touchdowns. He also returned 23 punts (276 yards) and eight kickoffs (172 yards).
